Luz Delia Rodríguez Ruiz Luz Delia Rodríguez Ruiz is an attorney at WMC’s San Juan office. Previously, Luz practiced private civil law where she provided legal advice and litigated matters in the following areas: personal injury, civil rights, labor law, collection of money, contracts, family law and inheritance law. Appellate practice consisting of writing appeals, certiorari, and judicial revisions at Commonwealth courts. At the MONTALVO BURGOS LAW OFFICES, in Cayey, PR Luz researched, advised and prepared memoranda and intensive litigation in labor law matters before Commonwealth courts, representing employers. At the Colegio de Abogados de Puerto Rico, Luz was also a part-time Assistant to the President where she provided legal advice to the public. Luz previously worked at REVERÓN, CASTRODAD & ASOCIADOS in Río Piedras, PR practicing private civil law related to Constitutional Law, Labor Law and Torts. At the INSTITUTO DE CULTURA PUERTORRIQUEÑA Viejo San Juan, PR Luz served as Special Assistant to the Executive Director and Coordinator of the Public Property Naming Commission; where she represented the Executive Director in Legislative Assemblies; acted as a Workers Grievances Litigator; and wrote opinions on behalf of the ICP regarding law projects and its regulations. At the UNIVERSIDAD DEL SAGRADO CORAZÓN in Santurce, PR, Luz was a Business Administration, Business Law and Tourism Law Professor. At the UNIVERSIDAD POLITĖCNICA in Hato Rey, PR, Luz was a Liberal Arts Professor teaching Hispanic American Literature, Basic Spanish, History and Ethics. For the Bar Association, Luz provided legal advice to the public, drafted opinion letters and memoranda in legislation matters, organized legal congresses and assemblies, represented the President in meetings of the commissions, represented the President in CICAP and organized book presentations. Luz has also produced and moderated radio and television programs aimed at orienting the public on legal, social and political issues, since 1989. |
