Andrew Lamb

Stephen Weisbrod

Andrew (“Andy”) Lamb is counsel with the firm. He represents businesses and individuals in litigation, arbitration, and mediation. He is also committed to representing clients in public interest matters.Mr. Lamb’s representations have included:

  • Representing two of the world's largest private equity firms in seeking insurance coverage for lawsuits alleging securities fraud, negligent misrepresentation, and breach of fiduciary duty.

  • Representing a global asset-management group in litigation for insurance coverage of lawsuits alleging antitrust violations.

  • Representing a subsidiary of a Fortune Global 100 manufacturing company in litigation for insurance coverage for its defense against a personal-injury lawsuit.

  • Representing a food manufacturer in a dispute over insurance coverage for its defense against allegations of improper labeling and false advertising.

  • Representing a subsidiary of a Fortune Global 500 pharmaceutical company in False Claims Act litigation.

  • Defending a Fortune Global 500 electronics company against a patent infringement suit, tried at the International Trade Commission, concerning numerous models of cell phones and other electronic devices sold in the United States.

  • Defending an international beverages manufacturer in false advertising litigation brought by a global competition.

  • Developing case strategy for individuals alleging losses from investments procured by fraud.

  • Providing antitrust advice to Fortune 500 companies facing antitrust litigation and government antitrust investigations and transaction reviews.

  • Representing plaintiffs in litigation, favorably settled, that alleged injuries and death due to U.S. Constitution violations at a Washington, DC prison.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lamb was an associate for five years at Covington & Burling LLP and served for two years with a non-profit to help supervise trafficking-in-persons prosecutions in the Philippines. While serving in the Philippines, Mr. Lamb also authored and supervised petitions that led a Philippine government agency to close businesses for human trafficking, and he drafted language for the amended anti-human trafficking law enacted in the Philippines in 2013. Recently, he was also a trial attorney at in the U.S. DOJ’s National Courts section.

Mr. Lamb graduated from the University of Chicago Law School, where he was managing editor of the Chicago Journal of International Law. He also has a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame. Before he began his legal career, Mr. Lamb taught philosophy at the University of Georgia. Mr. Lamb is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and Virginia, as well as before the United States District Court for the District of Columbia. He is a member of the American Bar Association.
