Laura Avilés Carro attended law school at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Puerto Rico, Escuela de Derecho de Ponce, and earned a B.A. in Pre-Justice at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. Laura’s experience has been in civil, torts, contracts, corporations, family, criminal, and administrative law litigation.
Laura previously worked as a solo practitioner and for the law office of Delgado Navarro & Associates. Laura also worked with the United States Census Bureau in Guaynabo, and separately with the Asociacion de Empleados Gerenciales de la Corporacion del Fondo del Seguro del Estado litigating civil, administrative, and criminal cases, representing different associates.
Laura’s practice is focused on representing Puerto Rican homeowners in property damage claims against insurance companies that have denied, mishandled, or improperly paid Hurricane Irma and Maria losses. Laura is fluent in English and Spanish.
