Kathleen O’Beirne has extensive experience representing clients in a variety of matters in both state and federal courts throughout Mississippi. Her current focus is on representing policyholders in first-party property claims against insurance companies that have denied, mishandled, or improperly paid them after a loss. Kathleen has also represented clients in other types of civil litigation including professional malpractice claims, wrongful foreclosure matters, estate litigation, and personal injury cases.
Kathleen obtained her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she served as articles editor of the Mississippi Law Journal. She received her A.B. from Davidson College, with a major in Political Science and minor in Spanish.
A member of the Mississippi Bar Association and the Capitol Area Bar Association, Kathleen was named a Mid South Rising Star by Super Lawyers and one of Fifty Leading Business Women by the Mississippi Business Journal. She is also active with the Women’s Foundation of Mississippi and the University of Mississippi School of Law’s Bessie Young Council. Kathleen currently serves as President-Elect of the St. Richard Catholic School Parent Association.
