Paralegal, San Juan Office

The San Juan, Puerto Rico office of Weisbrod Matteis & Copley PLLC (“WMC”) seeks a part-time/temporary to full-time permanent paralegal. The candidate will join a litigation team representing victims of Hurricanes Irma and Maria in pursuit of uncompensated property damage claims stemming from the September 2017 hurricanes. The candidate must be fluent in oral and written Spanish and English. The candidate must also be meticulously detail-oriented, efficient, and possess strong organizational, time, and case management skills. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Adobe Pro, and programs for document management is required. Prior legal experience is preferred.

WMC is a Washington, DC-based boutique litigation firm, representing and advising clients in a variety of areas, including business and financial disputes, negotiations and litigation with insurers, litigation concerning intellectual property and theft of trade secrets, whistleblower claims against government contractors, and complex judgment enforcement. Lawyer, San Juan Office

The San Juan, Puerto Rico office of Weisbrod Matteis & Copley PLLC (“WMC”) seeks a junior to mid-level full-time associate attorney with 1 to 4 years of civil litigation experience in Puerto Rico. The candidate will join a litigation team representing victims of Hurricanes Irma and Maria in pursuit of uncompensated property damage claims stemming from the September 2017 hurricanes. The candidate must be fluent in oral and written Spanish and English and be a member in good standing of the Bar Association of Puerto Rico. The candidate will be responsible for a high-volume caseload. The candidate should have strong self-starter credentials and courtroom experience, with good writing, communication, and client relations skills. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Adobe Pro, and programs for document management is required.
