Cedar CosnerCedar is an associate at WMC in the Seattle, Washington office. Before joining WMC, Cedar practiced in Salt Lake City, Utah, as a natural resource and business litigation associate with a regional firm. While there, Cedar was involved in a pro bono class action lawsuit, Christensen v. Miner et al., that successfully secured a state commitment for improving supervised care for disabled individuals in the state. He also authored an article in the Natural Resources and Environment journal exploring innovative ways to manage water supplies throughout the western United States. Subsequently, Cedar took an of counsel position with a local law firm to focus on small business litigation. During this period, he served as President of the Utah Young Lawyers Division. As a law student, Cedar was a managing editor for the University of Washington law review. He also interned with the Honorable John C. Coughenour in Seattle, where he assisted in preparing judicial opinions related to numerous criminal and civil matters. Cedar grew up in southern Oregon midway between the California redwoods and Oregon Caves National Monument. Prior to becoming an attorney, Cedar worked for the National Park Service as an interpreter at the Monument, where he developed an interest in both preservation and management of natural resources. |
