Before joining WMC, Mr. Charana-Agudo worked for a number of small and boutique firms; representing private and public clients in civil and commercial matters. His prior litigation experience includes contractual matters, insurance, bankruptcy, tax, administrative law, tort, RICO, banking and collection matters, environmental, construction, fraud, employment and bondholder litigation at both the State and Federal levels. His commercial experience includes drafting and negotiation of contracts (most notably the Operations and Management Agreement for the Puerto Rico Rail Transit System), private placement of debt, real estate transactions, obtaining and maintaining financial licenses with State regulators, procurement in public entities and legal counselling for public Requests for Proposals.
Mr. Charana-Agudo graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus in May 2010 majoring in Finance and Economics. He attended Law School at the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, graduating in May 2013. Since February 2014, he has been an Attorney in Good Standing in Puerto Rico. He was also admitted to the United States District Court and is a Notary Public, both currently in Good Standing.
